Selamawit Gessese (born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) is a Senior BFA student at San Jose State University (SJSU) in San Jose, CA. She is an up-and-coming artist with a passion to paint in the styles of post-painterly abstraction and abstract print makers. While at SJSU, Selamawit had studied advanced Drawing, Water, Acrylic, and Oil paintings, Human Figure Painting, Design and Color Theory, Screen printing, and Monotype printing.
